or also know as lightly, ardently.
So I started this show for Kim Woo Bin and some massive sob fest, and it was airing on tv while I was in Korea, so the advertisements were EVERYWHERE. Anyway, the posters looked pretty, so does Kim Woo Bin and Suzy Bae.

Brief description of drama:
Jong yong (acted by Kim Woo Bin) who learns that he has an incurable illness and decides to go back to find Noh Eul (acted by Suzy Bae), his first love. Will the pair of star-crossed lovers be able to find each other an fall in love again?
What so awesome about it: THE LOVE IS IN THE AIR. This show gotta break my bank for the most wanted boyfriend award. HE is EVERYTHING i want i a guy, direct i-love-you in your face, loves the girl the most and still acts childish and then melts my heart in seconds. (And he is tall!!) I know this is a drama and there are no guys in the world like that, but dramas do this stupid thing of giving one hope that such a person might exist. Like a girl can dream, can't she!?! and this whole show was powered on Jong Young's Love for Noh Eul, Period. I watched 20 episodes for their love and romance, no other shits and political warfare and sibling rivalry, (should ever get in their way, but it obviously did, how else will you get a 20 episode drama) just them falling in love and and finding their way back into each others arms, before jong young leaves.
One of the few shows that have a sad ending which I am satisfied and happy and I have never felt that the title of the show is exactly the whole show. While there are many normal korean drama troupes, such as terminal illnesses, political fights, my-father-killed-your-father type of love, mother-woes, all these are treated really lightly in a way as Jong Young smiles through EVERYTHING and simplifies everything. it is bitter-sweet sadness, the ones where you smile because you are smiling, but everything inside of you is already torn and shredded to pieces, the type where you just want to tell him that its ok to cry out loud. But being light hearted about it really makes it more sad, an example is where he videos himself for Noh Eul at the last episode, where he tries to smile for his last message to Eul, but we all end up crying anyways. Even the way the death is handled and how Noh Eul moved on without him, that last see-you-tomorrow, just made me smile and cry buckets. I never knew it was possible to have such conflicting feelings until this show.
This is one of the show that really showed the full potential of Kim Woo Bin's emotional shows, the crying, the smiling-while-crying, the trying-not-to-cry cry, the cry until no more tears in despair already cry, the smiling while the eyes looks like I-just-want-a-soup-from-mum kind of cry, I don't know how many types of crying he did but, oh boy he did a good job. Which came as a surprise to me as most of his previous characters were like the bad boy and lot of action type, the type where you just act mean and nothing else.
They have good sad ost too. The Kind that I love. And the OST matches the show so well...
Recommends: Yes if and only if 1. you are prepared to cry buckets of tears, 2. prepared to get your heart broken and shredded to pieces 3. NOT going through anything sad in life (aka breakups, deaths, bad results) (ok, maybe you can, since it is actually light-hearted in a sad sense, but my advice no, if you are sad just go find some happy movies) 4. You want a drama about LOVE.
Ranting on: I actually really loved the drama despite the luggish episodes in the midish episodes where Kim woo bin went to the other girl to help find evidence, I know in theory and by storyline that it has to happen so the case can close, But just let me be mad when the OTP can't be close to each other. For any reason for that matter. I watched this show to see THE LOVE.
